Visit the fruit bats at their day-time roost and learn about the importance of bats to our environment
Fruit bats (flying foxes) are important pollinators of Australia's hardwood forests. We're lucky to have a camp in Eastern Park .
This walk will start and finish from the front steps of the Geelong Botanic Gardens. participants will learn about the bats of Eastern Park and the role they play in our local ecosystems. We will then walk through the Park to view the fruit bats in their daytime roost, before returning to the Gardens.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
An optional post visit survey will be sent out to participants after the program.
