Celebrating the birthday on the 30 July 1818 of one of the most enigmatic figures in English literature – come and meet Emily Brontë. Blending the few letters and diary entries that exist in Emily’s hand, with reminiscences from those who knew her and excerpts from her astonishing Wuthering Heights; this unique performance evokes something of her world, her work and tragically short life.
Devised and performed by accomplished Melbourne actress Lise Rodgers, whose career has spanned stage, screen and radio and widely known for her ongoing Jane Austen series of performances. Tickets $50, includes high tea and a glass of sparkling wine on arrival.
