The Autumn Central Geelong School Holiday Fun Program begins on Saturday, 5th April and concludes on Sunday, 20 April 2014.

Our program theme is the Elements - Earth, Air, Water, Fire, and some wonderful activities are available for you to participate in.

How to Book
Activities that require bookings are listed below. Simply click on the date or session time you want and fill in your contact details. Places are limited to four children per booking (accompanying adults do not need to book). Except for Old Man Nanook, where adults also need to book and places are limited to six places per booking.

Once you have entered your details you will receive a booking confirmation via email. The page will also notify you if the session is booked out.


Old Man Nanook
Date: 5, 7, 8 & 9 April
Time: 11am & 1:30pm
Venue: Courthouse ARTS, Cnr Lt Malop & Gheringhap Sts

Cost: A gold coin donation is requested on entry, with proceeds going to the Good Friday Appeal.
Details:

Enjoy this music and shadow puppetry show for children ages 9-14 about the last polar bear traveling to the very end of the ice to discover why the ice is melting. Performed and designed by local Geelong artists and commissioned by the Geelong Community Foundation.

Tickets are limited to six per group and adults also need to book.

 

Make a Lantern for M~M 2014
Date: Friday 11th April
Sessions: 10am, 12pm & 2pm
Location: GPAC Foyer, Lt Malop St
Bookings: Available online now - 10am Session, 12pm Session or 2pm Session
Details: Hundreds of lanterns are needed to light the evening journey of the M~M 2013 Extreme Arts Walk. Kids can either make a lantern for their own walk or make one for someone else to carry on the journey. Visit www.geelongaustralia.com.au/mtom for information. Suits 8-12 years.

 

Elements Storytime & Craft
Date: Wednesday 9 & 16 April
Time: 9:30am - 10:15am
Venue: The Carousel, Geelong Waterfront
Bookings: Available online now - Wednesday 9th Session or Wednesday 16th Session
Details: Join us as we tell stories about the elements and create some fun crafts. Children who participate will receive a buy 1, get 1 free carousel ride voucher. Suits 5-8 years

 

Carousel Morning Tea & Storytelling
Date: Friday 11 April
Venue: The Carousel, Waterfront Geelong
Time: 9:30 - 10:15am

Details: Bronte Stead will read from his book 'The Broken Horse!'. Kids will receive a morning tea pack and a buy 1, get 1 free carousel ride voucher.

Market Square Week One School Holiday Activities:
3D Little Me
Date: Monday 7 to Friday 11 April
Time: 12pm-2pm
Location: Centre Court
Cost: $2 - $6 per soft toy
Details: Choose your favourite soft toy, get your photo taken, then use it to make your own 3D image for the toys face to create your very own 3d Little me! A memory you can cherish for years.

The Fun Guide lists all free activities on offer in Central Geelong during the Autumn, Winter and Spring school holidays. The Fun Guide also features special offers and discounts from Central Geelong businesses including discount meals at local cafes and restaurants and special offers to attractions. Terms and Conditions for Participation

Online Bookings
Where indicated some activities run by Central Geelong Marketing are only available to book via our website booking system located at http://www.centralgeelong.com.au/whats-on/school-holiday-fun/. To book click on the link for the activity you wish to participate in and follow the prompts.

Usually where bookings are required, places are limited to four children per booking and adults do not need to book. But for the Old Man Nanook shows, adults also need to book and place are limited to six places per family. Places are available to the general public not commercial businesses.

Supervision
The Central Geelong School Holiday Fun Program is not a supervised program, so all children must be supervised by a parent or guardian.

Cancellation or Inability to Attend
Our program is incredibly popular and some activities have limited places available. If you are unable to attend an activity you have booked into, either give your place to a friend or email centralgeelong@geelongcity.com.au or call 5272 4297 to notify us that you are unable to attend. This will give another family the opportunity to participate.
