There'll be lots of stalls offering the region's best fruit and vegetables, chutneys, preserves, honey, locally baked breads, eggs, organic vegetables and meat, sauces, wine, cheese, olive oil, flowers, tea, coffee and more.
FREE activities include:
Miniature Animal Farm
From 8.30am kids will love the miniature animal farm, where they can pat ducks, pigs, rabbits, goats, lambs and guinea pigs.
Face Painting
From 10am kids can get their faces painted in any design they like.
The Central Geelong Farmers Market is on the second Saturday of each month from 8.30am – 12.30pm. In Lt Malop Street Central between Yarra and Moorabool Streets.
VIP Parking Pass
The August Farmer Market saw the introduction of the new VIP Parking Pass. The pass gives shoppers to Central Geelong half price parking at Market Square Shopping Centre carpark for the first four hours. The card can be collected and then validated at every market by visiting the Market Managers Marquee at the Central Geelong Farmers Market. The offer is only valid on the second Saturday of every month.

What is a farmers' market?
The Victorian Farmers' Markets Association (VFMA) defines an authentic farmers' market as "a predominantly local fresh food and produce market that operates regularly at a public location which provides a suitable environment for farmers and food producers to sell their farm origin product and their associated value added primary products directly to customers."
