For the first time, engineering students from Deakin University have partnered with Central Geelong Marketing and the City of Greater Geelong to add animatronic movement to the characters. The theme is based on the classic children’s book, Little Dog and the Christmas Wish by Corinne Fenton and illustrated

by Robin Cowcher. The Geelong windows are a retrospective of the 2015 Myer Melbourne windows and feature Little Dog – a white West Highland Terrier – who on Christmas Eve finds himself lost and alone in a busy city. This year’s display will include a new fifth window featuring a range of unique Geelong landmarks engineered by the Deakin team. The Myer Geelong Christmas Windows will be unveiled at 5.00pm on Saturday 11 November, just before the twilight Gala Parade. The windows are proudly presented by  Central Geelong Marketing, Westfield Geelong, Myer, Deakin University and the City of Greater Geelong.
