Geelong Gallery The Geelong Gallery houses a magnificent collection of works of art, stemming as far back as the 19th century. The collection includes major works of significance, namely, Eugène von Guérard's View of Geelong (1856) and Frederick McCubbin's A Bush Burial (1890). More.

The Geelong Heritage Centre The Centre houses all the historical records in Geelong. It is the home of deposits for local government records in the Barwon Region and works closely with the Victorian Public Office in identifying and preserving these public records. The records are a collection of local archives, public, private, commercial and individual material that is available for public use at all times. More.
Geelong's Peace Memorial In most Cities and towns around Australia and overseas, a War Memorial consists of a monument or structure standing alone in a prominent place and listing the fallen from the great wars.
In Geelong, this unique, imposing building overlooking Johnstone Park serves the same purpose but has a presence unparalleled by other similar memorials.
Inside, listed on the walls, are the names of those from Geelong who gave their lives during the Great War & World War Two.
On the first Sunday of each month, starting Sunday 6th September 2009, the Peace Memorial will be opened for public inspection and visitation. Council with the generous assistance and support of the National Servicemen's Association (Geelong Branch) and the RSL (Geelong Sub Branch) will open the Peace Memorial between 2pm and 4pm. Former servicemen will act as Guides and Custodians of this sacred place. Entry is free.
